This says it all, perfectly! This matters so much. If the public perception of education and educators doesnt change, we are dooming our society. Education has to exist for all, not just those who can pay for it or can afford to live in high real estate valued neighborhoods. If we dont educate our impoverished population, we pay for welfare or incarnation. Education needs to be so much more than it is now to address these issues. Public bashing and devaluation of teachers and our education system simply creates more problems. Isnt it time to start thanking teachers for the overwhelming undertaking theyve chosen and paid for over and over again, and begin to give them, children, and society the resources needed to create a thriving culture of educated and employable citizens?
