This sentence, Mormonism is an incredibly open-minded faith - TopicsExpress

This sentence, Mormonism is an incredibly open-minded faith because of its atheological nature, really caught my attention. That is a really excellent point. This is not to say that individual Mormons dont have theological ideas--as humans, we naturally create see patterns and create models to explain what we see--but those ideas can legitimately differ between individuals and the Church doesnt mind. (I expect many of my ideas are wrong, and as more data is acquired I will change those ideas, and that is my individual concern--again, the Church has no stake in whats going on in my brain, beyond the very basics of faith in Christ and desire to repent.) What the Church cares about are the doctrines it teaches (clarity above all!) and the principles and standards it upholds. Im glad, because theologians bore me.
