This short article is to respond to a debate I had this morning with Ex-network marketer who quits the business and labelled our industry a scam. For those of you who shares same opinion, please pay attention. Just because you didn’t achieve success with something does not mean it was a scam. Yes, you have freedom of speech and can call it whatever you want to. But before you label our industry a scam, why don’t you call everything you quit a scam. It’s important to differentiate the difference between failure and quitting. Most people don’t fail at things, they quit and there is a big difference between the two. If you get started with something, learn from your mistakes and keep pressing forward, you will eventually succeed. Most people simply don’t have the vision, the discipline, the work ethic and perseverance it takes to succeed at different things in life. People fail in everything. The network marketing industry is probably the only industry that people fail in and then go out and badmouth the industry. How many people who joined a gym, but never went, as such never lost weight, created a blog to bash gym? Probably none. The truth is people don’t fail, they just quit. Tim Sales made a compelling argument on this subject of “failure and quitting" People literally fail in every industry you can imagine. When a traditional business owner fails, they normally lose a huge amount of money, sometime six or seven figures. When someone quits in network marketing, they might be out $300 to $3000. The difference is huge. Fact is, most network marketers don’t treat their business seriously. When things don’t turn out the way they expected, thy simply give up. There is nothing absolutely wrong with the network marketing industry and there is nothing wrong with you quitting the business. What are your thoughts on this subject?
