This should be something new for most of you. FM is a Canadian progrock trio that is very cool but much too overlooked. They feature acoustic & electric violin and mandolin (no guitar) with clever use of effects and distortion. Also a bassist/lead vocalist that encorperates keyboards, bass pedals.They were inspired (apparantly) by prog groups like King Crimson, Genisis, UK, - and ended up inspiring Rush (both from Toronto) to expand their instrumentation with keyboards ect. FM did a couple brief tours with Rush in the 80s. Their City of fear (fourth) album from 1980 is great- but did not see a CD release until 2013....wow.
