This should have been posted long ago, but I just havent had the time to put the effort into this post that I wanted to. We are still working on unpacking boxes and getting orders caught up as fast as possible while still maintaining some sort of production schedule so items dont go out of stock. Some of you are already aware and have been for some time, so for everyone else, Stirling Soap has left Texas. :-( After much thought, prayer, soul-searching, hand-wringing, beer-drinking (on my part, not Mandys), arguing, and even some crying, we made the decision that we needed the support of family for the time being to be able to accomplish some of our personal and professional goals. Wed like to expand the company, and expand our family so Emerson is not an only child, and we just couldnt reach a scenario where it would work without the support of family right now. Stirling Soap Company is just in its 3rd year of existence, and weathering the workload and frustration of running a fledgling small business was daunting to say the least. So, Stirling Soap Company is now in Logan County, Arkansas in the mountains in the middle of nowhere and conveniently located 4 miles from my oldest sister as the crow flies. We have a view that is perfect for enjoying morning coffee, and were anticipating a beautiful autumn here as well. That being said, we are going to put something together as a thank-you for Texas soon. While Texas may not be for everyone, we loved it there and miss it already. There are few places where the people take such pride in being where they are from, and not a week went by where we didnt receive numerous emails from fellow Texans thanking us for our products and for being a great Texas company. That made it all the harder to leave. However, our Texas-themed scents arent going anywhere. They were created in Texas with the help of fellow Texans, and weve still got one more to be released (Tamarind, anyone?) Anyway, back to boxing up orders. Thanks, everyone, for being so patient with us as we get set up in our new location. The move has been disastrous (2 emergency room visits so far), but we are working around the clock to show how much we appreciate your business. Rod
