This shouldnt be surprising. Its a psychoactive drug--the point is to alter brain chemistry and activity. The effect of the change depends on how much its used, for how long, and the genetic makeup of the individual user. What this small-sample study did not address is how long these changes persist after use stops and what the long-term effect of casual and short-term use actually is. Nor did it collect any data at all on whether these differences correlate with behavioral changes. Of course pot isnt harmless, and no argument for legalizing it should be based on that claim. But neither is it among the most dangerous commonly used substances, and no argument against legalization should be based on that kind of fear-mongering.
