This snippet of conversation inspires profound thought. I believe it speaks to many of our attitudes today. We invariably think of ourselves as open, rational, unbiased, moderate citizens; with the greater good at heart. Sometimes though, our personal beliefs dictate our actions, which do not communicate the same message, no matter how well intended the premise. Equal is not equal without being equal, freedom is not freedom unless it comes freely, our words are not truth unless they are true. We dont get to pick and choose according to our own proclivities. I know I have lots more work to do in my everyday in order to walk the walk I like to talk!
