This song I wrote for my dear friend Lauren Pollinas birthday several years back. Needed to get back to uploading my old music to YouTube, and used this song to inspire me to do so today. Some song background/backstory: Laurens little younger than me (I swear I cannot for the life of me ever remember *exactly* how old she is), born around the time when Phil Collins was very popular, and while I was a big fan of his. So this song is written in the style of Phil Collins of that era, with highly syncopated instrumentation, live and digital drum kits, synth pads and horns, and heavily grooving on his choruses. Pictures are pictures that took of her back then as well. And my nickname for her is Snoopy, she she reminds me of the Snoopy dance when she gets really happy about something (like seeing me!). Hence the Snoopy dancing... reference in the video. Hope you enjoy it. (She loves the song and reminds of that often.) maybe you can help make her day by LIKE-ing the video as well. Self-shilling, sure, fine. But more important is for her to be able to greater brag that she has her own song. (And that other people like it as well.) Thanks, birdies! :D
