This song doesnt really qualify a listing in my Songs With Earlier Histories Than The Hit Version library because one of the six versions of Blueberry Hill recorded the year it was written, in 1940, went to #1 on the pop music chart (by The Glenn Miller Orchestra). But, I found some delight in learning that Louis Armstrong made his own recording of Blueberry Hill in 1949 that peaked at #29 on the Billboard pop chart -- a half-decade or so before Fats Domino would make Blueberry Hill a worldwide hit and rock n roll standard.
