This song speaks of the surrender of our ownership of our life to God. This surrender brings us to the point of salvation and yields fruit in our lives that we truly received the gift. Belief in Jesus that has not yielded a surrenderd life is not salvation. It is deception. Many doubts arise from unsurrendered belief. Jesus said, If you continue in my Word, truly you are my disciples. (John 8:31) Jesus also warned, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter, Matthew 7:21 Surrender begins the life with Jesus and is a necessary act every day of the bleivers life since God leaves us with a free will and sinful nature. Thank God who always gives victory! (I Cor. 15:57)... He gave us His Holy Spirit to empower us to obey the very first time we surrendered! He truly is the author and finisher of our faith! Hebrews 12:2
