This song was recorded at Audio Recording, Inc. in Seattle by legendary engineer, Kearney Barton (who recorded The Kingsmen “Jolly Green Giant” of “Louie, Louie” fame, The Sonics “Psycho”, The Frantics “Werewolf”, “Angel Of The Morning” by Merrilee Rush and many others.) It was an 8 track analog studio, recorded onto 1 inch reel tape. This song features Wayde Brown (me) on guitar and vocals, Bill Fletcher on drums, my father, Clinton Brown on bass, and Sean Crain on piano. I overdubbed keyboards at M_I_N_E studio in 2010 to finish off the original flavor I had when I first wrote the tune. I was never happy with the 1990 release of the song. To finish off this particular mix, I had to convert it from a cassette format onto the Audacity program on my computer with a JVC TD-W254 Double Cassette Deck 3 motor Silent Mechanism. *NOTE: This song was originally released with copyright in 1990 by the first group I formed called “The Santairs” for the album “Sleeping In Dreams. (IM-703 #01.) This is the 68th song I wrote. Its one of my earlier stuff and the second song that my dad said, “…had a style of class” to it and that my songs “hadnt had that kind of maturity to it until now.” I think I was only 16 years old, so that, of course, boosted my ego. Originally entitled, “Heartaches and Pain” but I added “My” in the front to change it up slightly since just about everyone seemed to have recorded a song with that particular title. It was also one of the first songs I wrote that used a picking style using the fingers, so that was different for me. I wrote it within an hour and was just thinking about what it was like to feel love as a teenager. It was really that simple. MY HEARTACHES AND PAIN IM RUNNIN BUT I CANNOT HIDE. IM RUNNIN FROM YOUR CHEATIN LIES. IM RUNNIN WITH NO PLACE TO GO. IM RUNNIN WITH NO PLACE TO GO. IM SITTIN HERE WRITING A LETTER. I HOPE SOMEDAY WE CAN GET TOGETHER. WHAT DID I DO? I LIVED FOR YOU. MY HEARTACHES AND PAIN ARE BACK AGAIN. OH HOW I CRIED. OH HOW I CRIED. MY PAIN HAS LASTED FOR SO LONG. WHAT DID I DO THAT WAS SO WRONG? I CRIED SO MANY TEARS. I CRIED FOR SO MANY YEARS. OH, OHO!
