This song was the product of a ton of inspiration from my beautiful friend Angel Hapetian, and Psalm 51:17 [also Psalm 27:8]. No matter what weve done, how we see ourselves or how others try and tell you you are, you are His. He loves us more than we could ever know. Whether we come to Him all right or all wrong, what counts is that we do come, and He receives us with Love. Angela, your journey is no exception, and I am always inspired by your honesty, courage and brave vulnerability in sharing both your struggles and your wisdom. Thank you for allowing me a peek into the depths of a heart being healed, a God-romance of beauty into ashes that overflows from your spirit into the world of many others... Basically, youre awesome and Im proud to call you friend. Doing life with you is a blessing. Oh, and I called it Sunshine Smile because He loves your smile. When I asked Him what to write, thats the first thing He told me: write about her smile. Id missed it. When she learned to smile again it was the most beautiful thing Ive ever seen.
