This song was written and inspired during the midst of The Cuban Missille Crisis which threatened the world with a nuclear offensive for the first time since WWII. It was penned by the husband and wife songwriting team Noel Regney and Gloria Shayne. Ms. Shayne says she was most inspired by seeing women outside her window walking thier baby carriages in the rain during this pensive time in history. Id like to think it helped the course of history.
