This sort of bureaucratic delays in expanding our travel and tourism industry is why we need Open Skies. There are too few international flights serving the Philippines and this low supply means higher costs. Open air travel has worked domestically to drive down fares and drive up the economy. Open skies for international flights would do the same. Free trade, deregulation, open skies...regardless of what you call it, freedom works. There hasnt been a capacity increase in like 6 years between Manila and Hong Kong. So wed like to a substantial increase.
