This still seems like the most horrible nightmare. I had been praying I could find something with her voice on it and our of nowhere a voicemail from August 8th showed up on Tommys phone. It was from her asking how the kids first day of school went. She said she knew everyone handled it well but was worried about Bitty. And she closed the conversation with I love you baby....in THAT voice. Her wishes were to be cremated so we are planning a small memorial service for her Saturday, November 29 at 2pm at French Camp Baptist Church. Please continue to pray for us as this has been a very heartbreaking week for all of us. On behalf of Charles and the entire Pender family, we are so very thankful for all of the visits, food, phone calls, texts, wonderful words about our Mary Ellen, but most of all the prayers that have been sent up for us. There will never be another one like her. If you didnt know her, go read Proverbs 31 and you will see just what a remarkable woman she is and will always be. The Lord sure has Him a forever treasure when He called her home. If I have left ANYONE out please help me out by tagging them in this please!
