This storage site was storing 70 tons of ammonium nitrate, in a state with no fire code, no fire safety regulations. This is significantly more than was stored in West, Texas which caused so much damage to the town and killed or injured hundreds of people. Also just a little follow on tidbit, just after GOP Gubernatorial candidate Current AG Greg Abbott received $75,000 from Koch industries to include one of the Koch brothers sons who happens to own a fertilizer plant in Texas now, decided to change a rule regarding these types of dangerous chemicals. He decided that they shouldnt be public record. DO YOU HEAR THAT TEXAS?!!!! AFTER THIS TRAGEDY IN WEST TEXAS HE FEELS YOULL BE SAFER IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT IT AS A CITIZEN!!! When asked about this change he said You should be able to go to anyplace to any plant in your community, knock on the door and ask what kinds of chemicals they have stored there. After having a follow on question about being able to go onto private property and ask that question he did say Absolutely, but then had to rescind that, by saying You might not be able to go onto private property, but you can send a letter, or an email, to get that information. DO YOU HEAR THAT AGAIN TEXAS?!!! HE KNOWS IN HIS HEART THOSE COMPANIES WONT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS!!!! YEAH HES ANOTHER WINNER LIKE PERRY AND DUBYA!!! YOU SURE KNOW HOW TO PICK THEM!!!
