This story about a Cape Elizabeth family who want to keep their rooster despite the protestations of their neighbors reminds me of Eddie, who lived across the street and one house over from us in Mandarin. His rooster mysteriously drowned in their swimming pool while they were on vacation. Next door neighbor probably drowned it, but nobody called Colombo to investigate. That rooster was a real pain in the ass. Nobody wants to hear a rooster crowing at any time of day, especially before dawn. Cant that rooster tell time?, I would complain.
