This story popped up on AOL today which is a surprise because I thought AOL was dead and over ....sort of like Andy Reid. Now when you read the story you need to keep in mind that the original research is not being cited in the AOL story. It is unfortunate that the lead sentence was written in a way that it was because is going to draw a reaction from the ignorant uneducated fools of America . But the fact is that researchers from Korea and NOAA have found that the rapid changes in the polar ice coverage... from Summer to the rapid increase which occurs every Autumn and Winter... is leading to a strong tendency of more volatile and extreme winters. It is important to keep in mind that this is NOT the first time the research has shown this.
