This story upsets me, because having documented 100 years of The Guardians behavior on israel-Palestine I have come to see that such moments are rare, or used to be, and are remembered with dread in the newspapers history. Than again, I myself was dwindled gradually off writing anything for CIF with the only explanation leaked to me being that my articles require too much supervision to make sure the comments on it dont go completely out of control. Now Nafeez Ahmed, who, being Arab is even more rare a thing in the guardian, get dropped over thinking that Gaza is, among other things, an environmental story. It is uncommon for the Guardian to fire anybody (as anybody whod read Michael Frains old masterpiece Towards The End of the Morning would know), But they are the worldd journalistic champion at hanging one out to dry and turning a cold shoulder. In this case Nafeez Ahmed was granted an uncommon honor. They actually dumped him and let him know him about it.
