This studio was a very important part of Columbia and Warner Bros., and i am glad that someone took the time to document the Columbia Ranch,because its is rich with history,and IS highly relevant! over the years that i have watched Columbia Pictures,i deeply appreciate their history,especially their Television history,when Screen Gems was launched for the TV division of this once great studio! i watched with particular interest,when Coca Cola brought the studio in 1981,and throughout the 1980s,i watched Columbia thrive-until 1989,when they were sold to Sony,,that made me SAD! and,with no disrespect to Sony,i DO NOT like how theyve handled Columbia,and i despise their using the Screen Gems name,for what amounts to the lousiest movies that i have ever seen! owning a studio is one thing,,but removing its main name,and using SONYs title,is outright unacceptable!! Columbia Pictures rich history with the Columbia Ranch should forever be preserved-and since Warner Bros. has also shared this famous Ranch lot,it is truly a unique arrangement,and rare! i seriously appreciate Columbia Ranch and YOUR efforts,in sharing this outstanding history! i only wish that the corporate people in Japan,and these other Sony people,would also consider using this lot,for other made for Movies and TV productions,because this Lot has a RICH history-and SONYs history is best effective at what it does best-making outstanding Electronics,TVs and Stereo, NOT using their name,over such a studio,that doesnt deserve to be called anything else,other then its main Hollywood name-COLUMBIA! not SONY Pictures,or Sony Pictures TV,because that is STALE and insulting! it just doesnt fit,nor does it sound the least bit creative-its a TERRIBLE travesty! ill be extremely pissed,if they called it The SONY Ranch-hope that never happens! again,thank you for such an uplifting level of valuble history-long live The Columbia Ranch!
