This style of football was a incredible preview to how systems that seem a little wacky work but you always need talent to make it work!! The amount of turnovers were numerous it seemed not to bother this team they depended on a long run instead of 3 yards in a cloud of dust!! One of the regrets I have as a football fan was never seeing David Overstreet play in the NFL because he was killed in a car accident right before training camp his rookie year. I always remember I believe Al Davis rebel team that won the Super Bowl in 1981. A team full of over the hill guys but also had its share of odd ducks. Excuse me Mad Storks like Ted Hendricks!! Mr. Stickum Lester Hayes just to name a few. If you want a good laugh watch some Raiders video from this era.
