This summer I was invited to go on a group trail ride, something I generally shy away from because I generally find myself in the middle of some one elses horse troubles. 25 of us had already crossed this bridge, this was one of the last riders. We were already 30 minutes down the trail when we got the call that a horse had panicked at the bridge and was stuck under water. Two of us raced back to help to find this horse and his rider holding his head above water, by the time we arrived this horse had been in the water nearly 45 minutes and was almost dead from exhaustion.
