This sums up the entire political process in a nutshell. Surrounded by assholes in charge who got there through favoritism, representing a planet of idiots (Planet Spaceball), with a guy in charge who has delusions of power tripping. The Druish Princess being rich represents the corporations Hey! I dont have to take this... Im rich! Im gonna call my daddy... Considering our congress has an 11% approval rating and gets a 94.6% reelection rate, and now winning the senate (GOP), its no wonder the United States may as well be the equivalent of Planet Spaceball. Seriously, you had one job... And you managed to poke your eyes out with the ballots. But I dont entirely blame the population, because the politicians are playing with corrupt rules and favoritism... So its not like they were going to listen to you anyway. The smart people just look around, realize something is futile, then choose to figure it or without playing the game they cant win. Such as: If you know the underlying problem is Citizens United and political corruption, then you figure out how to put the rules back where it is fair again before playing. Would you sit down to play a game of Monopoly if the other player was the banker, had unlimited funds, and started with every property and hotel and never went to jail? Youre not dumb enough, are you? So why play this game with the exact same rules? Why not try to fix the system itself... by (for instance) supporting a constitutional congress via Wolf-Pac or similar to get an amendment to the constitution in order to override Citizens United and restore the democratic process? wolf-pac There is a difference between not voting and doing nothing, and not voting but doing something to try and fix it all. The latter gets to complain because were surrounded by idiots who keep trying to vote their way out of the situation like trying to convince kings to stop crapping on golden toilets. If you want your democracy back, its going to take work. Actual... Hard... Work. And a sense of personal responsibility, not voting for somebody else to fix it. There are 314 million Americans, and it is total bullshit saying you cant fix this together. There are 534 in congress... How the hell does 500+ people ruin the lives of 314 million and destroy the planet? *Slides the face shield down* Keep voting, assholes! #occupy Rainy D Kaine
