This takes the cake on the comments on parenting from strangers in public. I was helping Lily into the car while wearing Annie and a man said, oooo Ive been there, and thats a terrible sight. Glad its you and not me! My first instinct was to slam my door into his dumb brain, but I just said I was actually really glad it was me. Stop it with the cynicism. You arent funny. Children are a REWARD! Im wearing one of them across my chest like the shining trophy she is. You know what? I forgot. This wasnt the worst Ive heard. When I was pregnant with Annie, a man asked me what I was having. I was beaming cause I just found out we were having another girl. He said oh noooooo! Im So sorry! Girls are terrible. Believe me. I have 3 and theyre teenagers. It just gets worse. I told him my daughters are amazing blessings and theyll just continue to be. That shut him up. Moral: do not cross me. Youd be the 3rd strike.
