This time away has revealed many things, but the most important is what I am to convey about politics. I have come to realize that the debate about religion and politics has been nothing but a huge distraction. The REAL issue is earthly politics vs spiritual politics. Christ rejected the bestowing upon Him the title of earthly king for good reason - His kingdom is not of this world. We fail when we attempt to use our understanding of earthly governments to imagine what the kingdom of heaven must be like. What is necessary is to see how the spiritual kingdom is manifest in the earth. Yet, there is another challenge that besets is: if we havent a concept of earthly governments, how we be able to perceive spiritual governments?
