This time last week I was heading to the Hunter Valley for my classy chic Mel, lets confess us 2 would make Mount Druitt a good experience. Highlight was definitely spending time with with her but I failed to understand why the Hunter Valley was so popular! it lacked substance and heart sure the wines were good but thats a product- theres need to be expression behind the product if im going to buy it, I feel and i hope other do as well , I want to be sold genuity. You walk into the wine cellar door and your surrounded by over priced wine gadgets that would suit the suburban mumma, wines were overpriced and would fit the bill of a north shorian banker with triple digits salary. you could tell that wine nib-lets such as cheese chocolate and fudge were good maybe 10 years ago when supplies and demand was shortened but now it seems way to expensive for what your getting. The distillery had this cheesey Ivy night club look to its showroom, had no personal touch to it. The sales person quoted Were the only distilleries in the southern hemisphere fail! The village made me feel like i was in adventure land from Beverly hills cop 3, fake European style shops with the same speaker music throughout it. I was hoping Eddie Murphy would come and shoot me in the face after i ordered a bitter coffee from impossibly the most reputable cafe in the village. Highlights was definitely the Mill restaurant gracias Lauren Wilde and Emilio Llausas! nailed it! Max from rothbury wines- wasnt about the $$$ and more about the passion, our super occo tour guide and Harringtons Irish Pub. Get some bush walks going, signs for national parks, bike lanes on major roads, fruit stands, organic food, great coffee- roasted in hunter, bee hives, farming zoo, lookouts, picnics, road side flower shops, day spas, etc etc. Zoosh up your shiznic, your hair looks great Hunter, but wheres your accessories? How did Hunter win best tourism district out of Sydney i dont know? money can by ratings these days. I wouldnt recommend going there anytime soon unless your your planning a weekend away with the gals, you need to rest after your botox operation 2 weeks ago and your husband is away playing golf with his colleagues from macquarie bank then do it definitely and luckily enough none of my friends suit that description so really... you get the point.
