This time next week West Winds Development Association will be holding a Celebration and Fun Day in the estate (12noon-4pm) to celebrate the accomplishments of different organisations over the past 10 years. Most residents will by now have received a flyer through their door detailing the various activities. This is a real family occasion with bouncy castles, face painting, treasure hunt, tea dance, aromatherapy, boxing demonstrations, zumba demonstration, health checks, penalty shoot out, colour me beautiful, etc. 10 different venues, ie WW Primary School, Little Doves, WW Community Centre, Blair House, SureStart, Towerview Resource Centre, The Shack, WW Community Office, WW Social & Cultural Institution Office and Scrabo Church will all be opened at various times throughout the day to showcase the diverse activities which regularly take place within the estate. There will be a Bonny Baby and Fancy Dress competition during the day and all prizes will be presented at the Church around 3.30pm. The day is absolutely free to everyone but if anyone would like to make a donation to Chest Heart and Stroke there will be various collection points throughout the day to give to this worthy cause. Please come along and encourage your friends to support the work that goes on in West WInds.
