This time of the year is perfect for walking. Funny thing about walking, you begin to meet your neighbors. They recognize you and greet you after a while of seeing you trudge by. You begin to notice things about your neighbors homes, cars, children, yards. We have an alien about 1/2 block over. I know that because his grass is so green it is blue and it is so thick you could call it a mattress and anyone who has seen it would not correct you. He must be from some other planet because his grass is out of this world. He likes to talk to us as we turn his corner. He is often in his yard hose in hand struggling to walk in his lush grass. Im not jealous of his grass on days the sun doesnt shine or days we walk another route or days I am distracted. Fortunately there are lots of yards with lawns tended by mere earthlings like ourselves. This brings balance to the feelings I have about the neighbor with grass to die for.
