This time of year many changes occur in the forest. With the shortening of the days the sap flows more slowly and the foliage slowly starts changing colour. Similarly, as the snow approaches, the hare’s fur slowly turns to white. With birds migrating away and the other residents of the forest getting ready for winter, the forest gets quieter. These changes make the months of September, October and November, most interesting for a walk in the woods, especially when one comes back to see what changed. Wear good walking shoes and warmer clothes and come enjoy the majesty of the morphing forest. See you soon!
