This time of year, there are so many holiday activities for families to attend together. I personally follow the Kansas City Parent Magazine to learn more about the activities available in the Kansas City area. If you are attending an activity with your child, let go of any expectations (e.g. They are going to be so excited to ...). Instead, go in with a Lets see what they enjoy and focus on that attitude. Often, holiday activities involve children waiting in long lines, a lot of noise, and unexpected events. You might feel yourself become anxious or nervous as you see your child becoming upset. This is when it is absolutely essential to remain calm. If your child is showing you cues that they are ready to go, even if you didnt have the opportunity to visit the main attraction, its okay to leave.
