For September 9 (week 10) you are to use class time to go to the library in order to research, read and prepare the topic of law and social change specifically via the case Buck v Bell (1927) US Supreme Court on the issue of the constitutionality of forced sterilization. Your research should continue from there and should conclude with the US Supreme Court cases that declared such practices unconstitutional. For September 16 (week 11) your final paper is due. That final paper should address forced sterilization, the subject of your research, AND it should relate that issue to those discussed in the text at chapter 6: Law and Social Change This final effort should reflect your research, reading and thought and should be no fewer than 4 pages and no more than 5 pages.
