This to inform all of my Facebook Friends I have file as a candidate for the Mingo County School Board on January 23, 2014 and I appreciate all the support you will give me. With my Education and Work Experience I believe Im well qualified to represent all of the Mingo County Citizens as your newly elected board member. I truly understand how important it is for of all our children to have a good education and they need a good safe clean enviroment in all our schools to get their education. Thanks, Gary W. Davis My Life Story in short. My Wife, Iva and I were married October 25, 1969. We made our home in Cleveland, Ohio from 1970 and moved back to Mingo County in June of 1974. While living in Cleveland our first Child, Brenda Lee was born and I worked for a factory that supplied parts for the Navy called Bailey Meter Company. While working for Bailey Meter I received a Top Secret Clearance from the United States Navy to be a Mail Carrier between the two Factories. After working the day shift I went to a Police Training School in Euclid, Ohio four hours each evening. My Goal was to return back to Mingo County and work in Law Enforcement to improve the Judicial System here in Mingo County. I was offered a job on the Cleveland Police Force and turned it down too move home to further my career in law enforcement in Mingo County. I went to work for the Town of Gilbert, West Virginia as a Patrolman, then as Mingo County Jailer and then as a Mingo County Deputy Sheriff during Sheriff Tom Chafin tender. June 1984 I went to work for the Town of Delbarton, West Virginia as a Patrolman and was promoted to Chief of Police. I worked for the Town of Delbarton for two years before resigning to start doing Security and Investigation work as a Licensed Private Detective/Investigator which I done for fourteen years. Iva and I raised Five Children during this time. Four Daughters and one Son. Gary, Jr. played football while attending Williamson High School and now he is a Electrician in the Coal Mines. Brenda is a foreman of a Factory in Virginia. Rita completed two years of Banking and Business at Southern Community College in Williamson, West Virginia. She now works in the pharmacy at Wal-Mart. Her husband, Rocky Noe works for Hannah Lumber Company as a supervisor. Sharon Lives in Delbarton, West Virginia and is working for home heath care. Her husband Nicholas Johnson is a coal miner. Susan is married to Brain Fish and she works at Wendys. We have 10 Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild. May Gods Blessings always be as a ray of warm sunshine for you and your love ones. Gary W.
