This, to me, is the pinnacle of nationalist ignorance. They blurt their mouths open and then just make the assumption that they are right. Well, let me ask you this Sturgeon. While you are trying to lie your way to independence, have you ever thought about what would happen to public spending if you endorse free tuition fees forever under a constitution. Well, its not hard to understand: 1. Under EU law, we would be obliged to provide free university tuition to every single EU citizen. FACT 2. You cannot discriminate against English students under EU law. As an independent country, we would also be obliged to cover the cost of English students wishing to seek education in Scotland. FACT 3. This blows your assertion out of the water that you could continue to charge English students even in the even of independence. We would be breaking EU law if we tried to. FACT 4. How are we going to afford to pay for all this free tuition? 5. How are we going to afford it? 6. How are we going to afford it? 7. How are we going to afford it? 8. Howe are we going to afford it? 9. How are we going to afford it? 10. How are we going to afford it? I am so sick and tired of all these empty nationalist promises and lies. They are meaningless because they are simply not feasible. And lets be honest, the SNP in particular have a real problem with the English if they think they could still charge English students contrary to EU law. But wait a minute, they would offer free education to all other EU citizens bar the English if they could. That just says one thing: the Scottish government IS racist no matter how you spin it. The idea that because the English have to pay tuition fees in England we would have to charge fees to stop English, Welsh and NI students flooding over the border is crass in the extreme. As for an objective justification, stroll on. The EU is more about equality than an independent Scotland would ever be. It would never happen. The EU will be dictating to us, not the other way round. These delusions of grandeur really are embarrassing now.
