This update from Cabo Linda brought to you by Barrett Masso: Cabo update: This should help put rumors to rest as well as shed light on the current status of things down in cabo. This update is brought to you by Cabo Linda. Here is our Cabo update. Things are getting better fast. They fired up the substation with jet engine up and running. They have to reconnect all the wires and there as tons of poles down from here to La Paz. La Paz and Todos Santos are fine, but power is spotty there too. We think every CFE truck in Mexico has now arrived in Cabo and La Paz. CFE has 1,000 trucks out in the field replacing and repairing all the downed poles and wires. Glass and wood is starting arrive to help people close up their homes. Today gasoline is no longer being rationed. In La Paz, Walmart and all the big grocery stores are full of produce, meats, etc. Road to La Paz is a breeze and the bypass is wonderful. They are receiving shipments regularly. West Jet, Alaska and others are flying planes down with supplies and taking out the tourists out for free to limited cities. Military is cleaning up downtown really fast. They are here in force and we feel very secure. Call service is very spotty. The old fashioned land line phones that are not battery operated works in many locations. Finding an old fashioned phone in nearly impossible. Watter and food is being distributed to the people in different locations. Regardless of what has been on social media El Arco is still standing. We are optimistic and things are getting better by the day. Thanks to God, our office had no damage while our neighbors lost windows. Biggest challenge is the loss of sooo many windows in homes and all the resorts. The good news is everything is concrete and tile and will dry out. Wish I owned a generator and glass and screen company. More updates to follow. Best Regards, Linda.
