This vacation allows me to see life in a different yet familiar perspective. 1. I will teach a petition class in Filipino this summer. Another opportunity to reach out and teach Thomasians outside CTHM. 2. I am inspired to start writing my dissertation and to obtain my doctorate within the year. 3. I will enroll in a gym at least for two months because I finally realized, I need to do some physical activities since a teachers day-to-day life is too cerebral. 4. I intend to watch a lot of critically-acclaimed (the like of 12 Years a Slave) or simple feel-good movies (Diary ng Panget, youre scheduled this Tuesday). 5. I will download all the music I want to listen to. 6. I will read books and be in different worlds. 7. I will finish publications: two textbooks and one publication for a nationally-refereed journal. 8. I will have an ultra-meaningful Holy Week. 9. I will not surrender my dream of going to the beach and enjoy refreshing, cool waters. 10. I will have that toy poodle and transcend the love for a pet dog. And 11. May the career move I am praying for be realized this summer. Thank you, Lord, for the life and the opportunity to live that life. As Mae West said, We only live once, but if we do it right, once is enough. :)
