This veteran served his country during WWII. He was in the United States Army, fighting against the Japanese in the Pacific. He Fought on Okinawa, which was our last major engagement against the Japanese. The fighting was fierce and lasted over 80 days. Over 12,000 Americans were killed during this battle along with approximately 100,000 Japanese. This veteran was shot in the leg during some of the worst fighting against the Japanese. He fought bravely for his country only to be killed 68 years later by 2 cowards.
