This via Songs for Scotland: We at Songs for Scotland have been doing some ‘whither?’ soul searching just lately, as have we all. We have made our decision. We believe that the next watershed moment in our campaign for national independence will be the May 1, 2015 general election, now only a few months away. We are also convinced that the wonderful online infrastructure we have collectively built in support of the ‘Yes’ campaign must be preserved, and applied to our next goal: electing a majority slate of Scottish MPs to Westminster under a ‘Yes’ umbrella. I am convinced that our recent indyref reversal before too long will be seen as just a bump in the road. This Songs for Scotland Facebook page is a tiny part of our online infrastructure and we will be keeping it going. The mix will be a bit different, well be posting outstanding articles too, ones that we think are especially interesting, or that are must reads and also we will continue to post songs. We therefore invite the many, many talented singers, and musicians who have submitted songs to this page to once again pick up their guitars, bagpipes, Jew harps - whatever - and to send us new compositions in support of the New 45.
