This video brought tears to my eyes. What are we doing? What are we teaching our children? We (as a society) have attached a negative connotation to the feminine identity. My intent is not to point fingers, only to raise awareness and speak of my opinion. Granted I do not know what you gentlemen go though but I do know what Ive experienced and Im speaking from that perspective. Almost every morning Im up at 3am to attack the day and become stronger as a PERSON. Not for a girl. My goal has never been to do well for a girl. Im in it to succeed period. I often hashtag my IG photos fightlikeagirl because I know we can put up a damn good fight in many respects and there is no shame in striving to be a strong independent woman. Watch the video. See how little girls are ready and willing to run and play just as hard as the boys. But as those little girls grow into young women, they start viewing their femininity differently.
