This video features progression on hand-to-hands, working up to inverted cupie pop through. There are steps before this and still higher levels after. It is fun to see things get more advanced, but it can still be frustrating how long that takes. These clips span over multiple years, but I KNOW I could have accomplished this in much less time. When some of your best partners live states or continents away, and your immediate environment doesn’t exactly have the same interest/belief/need/capabilities/priorities/obsession, it’s easy to get upset. But I’ve come to the realization that that’s like getting upset when you find Hobbits living in the Shire: It’s foolish and would be my own fault. Instead of cursing the situation and bashing my hometown, I will simply seek to continue to improve it, even if it’s just one person at a time. I’m thankful for those mutually beneficial times with the partners of yesteryear and today. In the grand scheme of things, it is okay that progress has taken “so long” because a goal achieved too quickly will not be as meaningful. I enjoy the result AND the work. I have got at least a year or two before when most elite stunters hit their peak, and I am not in a hurry to stop. #not_everything_not_yet
