This video is going viral, and several news sites are asking: Are you for or against Euthansia. I posted that having severe RA there may well come a day when I decide that I no longer wish to live with this degree of pain, explaining that I am non responsive to treatment, living with daily, severe pain and take moderate doses of morphine and oxycodone daily. My comment got 14 likes and one person who strongly disagreed with ending your life because you are in discomfort or depressed. She said in my case, it would not be euthanasia, but suicide (with no sympathy) The comment below mine was from someone who has MS, who simply stated if her disease EVER became a life of constant pain that she would like the legal option to end her life. She did not allude to being in any pain right now, just that she would like the option should she ever be in pain. Her comment got 202 likes and several comments in support. No detractors. This tells me that people DO understand that MS can be severe and painful, and DO NOT have any inkling that severe Rheumatoid Arthritis can be a life of torturous pain.
