This video makes me happy for a whole lot of reasons... Aubree was not always this sure of herself and confident in her own abilities. I remember her sophomore year of HS when she was first learning to throw on her knees and she sent me a picture of her goals she had written down. She gave herself a timeline, almost like an ultimatum- you see, knee throwing didnt come easy to Aubree at first. She said would have her knee throws down by X date, no ifs ands or buts. On this sheet of paper she wrote HOW she was going to get there; what she needed to focus on & what she would do to make sure she would obtain her goal. Of course, she reached her goal in half the time she allotted for herself because her work ethic is unrivaled. But, watching this showed me just how far she has come. Even up until right before last year (her sophomore year of college) she was consistently working (she always is) and sending me videos- Aubree ALWAYS wants to improve and she always wants to be the best possible version of her own self. BUT, what fired me up MOST about this video was the CONFIDENCE in her voice. She is SO sure of herself, what she is teaching & how she is impacting. The way she speaks, poised & direct, as she demonstrates to a group of girls who all want to be her, literally, is an overwhelmingly proud thing to witness. As her coach, I could not be any more proud of what Aubree has accomplished, how she has grown & the way she has continued and will continue to leave her mark on the game we love.
