This video of Kayshaun and I was taken yesterday. He got a really neat car racer toy and was pretending to fly an airplane. We also read a Shrek book and he kept making donkey noises lol. (I dont want to talk about how he beat me in I Spy) My heart is so full of gratitude, as I reflect alone for the first time since 9:38am this morning. My life has been shifted by the faith, love and compassion I see from his mama MissCola Bennett and her sister. But my superhero Kayshaun, you were pronounced dead at 9:38am this morning and yet I know your spirit is very much alive. You changed me. Every time you stopped what you were doing to look at me to tell me you loved me made everything else in the world go away. Your love for the small things (the 800 times we watched Cars) and your brave face. But MOST OF ALL your faith in God - you prayed relentlessly and your eight years KNEW GOD. And know you KNOW God, the ultimate peace and rest. Cant wait to see you again just to hear your heartfelt prayers. I am not going to cry (you hate tears)...Im going to watch Cars tonight and laugh at your favorite parts. Im going to praise God when nothing makes sense (like right now) and Im going to stop what Im doing to tell people I love them. Goodnight Kayshaun, Auntie Tara loves you.
