This video shows the importance in calf flexibility in achieving a low squat. It shows me squatting two days apart, with the difference being I had a soft tissue treatment on my calves from Jess before the second video was taken. Restrictions in the calf limit how much the shins can incline forward, thus limiting depth. I havent squatted for about 2 years, but after 3 weeks with Jesss help Ive already hit a max of 240 pounds. Ive got my 40th high school reunion coming up, and I would be embarrassed to show up without at least a 308 rock-bottom squat.
