This video was shot in Sweden by students pretending to show a couple having a domestic row in a public space. As you will see, the male actors are very aggressive and bullying, and you will note that other than one woman who stood up to it, everyone pretended to not to notice, and at the first opportunity left the girl in a potentially dire predicament. As once a police officer, I`ve seen both on duty and off, people walking past people lying in a collapsed state in the street. The reaction to walk away is always excused by the thought that it must be a drunk. And in some cases this might be true, but in others it was people suffering a stroke or a heart attack. It doesn`t take a few seconds to check. After all, if you or I collapsed, wouldn`t you like to think that somebody might help?, I`ve also witnessed men bullying women in a similar fashion. My thoughts are these. In most cases if you tell the offender to stop, they generally will, and if you think they are too dangerous to challenge, you should call for assistance. With me, seeing weaker people being bullied generates an angry response and a sharp rebuke. I cannot stand any person or animal being abused. I also realise that I am a tall man with a broad build which helps. But whatever happens, to do or say nothing is really unacceptable, If you feel you cannot physically help, you can always call the police. But in this video, nobody did that. And if this was a real life scenario, the girl could have been badly beaten or murdered.
