This was a first for our beloved Suzuki C109RT, but apparently the tests we were performing on those fancy tire air pressure monitors that screw onto the valve stem and blink red when tire pressures drop below a certain level can pull the center out of the valve stem when coupled with high speed riding. Our 110mph on and off testing(thats normal riding for this bike and only uses the first three gears) caused the pressure monitor to compromise our short, rubber straight up rear tire valve stem. We will be changing to a more solid style of valve stem for future use, but the pressure monitors will not be a part of future testing. The slow loss of tire pressure caused symptoms to creep up slowly, with the last straw being a high speed semi passing with the 240 rear tire taking up sections of road the front tire never intended to travel. Bike stayed upright, shorts are clean, new valve stem by Les Schwab(at No Charge) and back on the road the next morning. God is good!!!!!
