This was a maths teacher at my secondary school, and she is dying of cancer unless she gets the treatment that is being denied to her due to funding! I think that this is appaling, everyone deserves the right to live and deserves treatment if it is going to help them. This is a petition started by her family to try and get the MP and the health secretary to change their mind and fund her treatment, which will cure her! As a trainee teacher, if I was suffering from an illness and denied the chance to survive I would hope that I would have the support of the students and their families if such thing were to ever happen. Even without having a connection to this lady I still believe that funding shouldnt be an issue when its a matter of life and death, when such stories are in the paper of women getting plasic surgery on the NHS etc. I ask you to take 2 minutes out of your day to sign and promote this petition to get her the treatment that she and everyone else in her shoes deserves. It is stand up to cancer week and we should all be standing up to it.
