This was a quote from a racing guy that commented on a CBS sports post. If you think Stewart did this on purpose, my personal opinion would be that youre looney tunes. This guy helps my theory. Bottom line, DONT GET OUT OF THE CAR!! To the people that are going to comment on this not knowing much about racing, they were racing sprint cars which are direct drive cars and when they are in gear basically have no brakes and these cars cannot turn on a dime unless you are on the gas. And when you are actually sitting inside the car your right side visibility is limited due to the placement of the wing its like a cocoon. And in this case the track was dimly lit, the drivers also have their visors and tearoffs, and the driver on the track was wearing all black which made it even worse. None of those cars out there could see him until he was right in front of them. The car before Tony Stewart would have also hit the kid had he not stepped out of the way. And the revving you hear is from the number 45 car not Tony stewarts. It is said in drivers meetings you DO NOT get out of your car until safety crews have arrived unless the car is on fire. if you watched the video his wheels were pointed down to try and swerve the car down not up and into this kid. So all you people crying saying oh it was intentional he turned right at him are obviously blind. My prayers go out to the family but that was no way intentional.
