This was a review we reached last week from a wedding in August....I cannot possibly say enough good things about John and his team. They provided incredible service, outstanding food and a nice personal touch throughout the process. We solicited quotes from around 8 catering companies, all specializing in BBQ. What stood out about Pig & Pie was their personal attention to your service. If you go with one of the big chains, you will get your food and not much else. With Pig & Pie, you get amazing food, incredible attention to detail and a remarkably personable staff. John was always willing to listen to us and regularly provided helpful advice. Like most couples, we forgot to eat during our reception. Not a problem with Pig & Pie, as John had already boxed up two meals for us to take home afterwards. From start to finish, Pig & Pie went above and beyond the call of duty. And I havent even talked about the food. A lot of our guests were from Tennessee and considered themselves BBQ snobs. The consensus from the reception was that this was the best BBQ anyone had ever had. The pork was smoked to perfection, the sauce was outstanding and the sides felt like a meal on their own. Between the great main course and the incredible appetizers, all we heard about the food was praise. John is just a great guy. He cares a great deal about his customers and thats what sets Pig & Pie apart. He was constantly checking on my wife & I throughout the evening. He made sure our grandparents (in their 80s) were comfortable and went out of his way to provide water to guests (it was 96 degrees!). If you are reading this review and looking at other caterers, stop immediately and give John a call. You will not find better food, you will not find a better price and you absolutely will not get better service anywhere else.
