This was a strange day for me today.I got a haircut for the first time in 4 months. No wonder I had to use hair cliippies from one of my granddaughters. I went to see my Aunt Annette Gutgold with my mom and my sister. We had a good visit and talked a long time. Aunt Netta is a great cook. I have to get jeans this week and I am not happy about that either. I hate buying clothes with a passion. But I need them. Boy I wish the 3 years of sewing lessons would have stuck with me.New jeans are so stiff and uncomfortable to get used to. I came home and had to do some paper work and I needed Joes social security number which I knew better than mine. We had very few unwritten rules in our married life and one was I did not go into his wallet unless I asked. I could count on one hand the times I went into it. I of course hate wallets and have my life jammed into my pockets or most of it. I only have certain cards and Christmas straw in mine. And I had to check the number to make sure I was right so I had to open Joes wallet and look in it. You know you can tell a lot about people by their wallets. Joes was neat as a pin and the slips were in there from my Christmas gifts he had just gotten me for that Christmas. And all his cards are still there and slips from the bank and the doctor. I had gotten him a new Phillies wallet for Christmas but I gave it to our nephew, so it is the old wallet still. It hurt my heart to have to open that wallet and see it. But I did not cry. Just a really sad moment for me. I also am good with my prayers and Novenas and I was just not in the mood to do them. Joes Mom has told me more than once if the prayers are stressful then give them a rest. So I just said a few and asked God to help us all and called it a day.
