This was about 6 miles from where I was working at that time. I can say this though. The safety regulations at that Dupont plant are pretty stiff. I have made deliveries of samples to that plant in the past. The chemical that leaked had the compound called H2S in it....its lethal at low concentrations. Most places such as this their employees even wear alarms on their uniforms that provide warning. I heard that the leak got to these people so fast their alarms could not catch it before they were killed by the H2S. I disagree with this Meme suggesting this plant or company were lax in their safety precautions though. Sometimes this can happen in this industry. I work in this industry. Danger IS there. Believe me, everyone working in these places try to minimize the risks as much as humanly possible. Everyone working in these places want to go home to their families at the end of each work day. My heart goes out to the families of the 4 men killed in this accident. Its a sad thing indeed.
